The APPEA Conference and Exhibition is the largest oil and gas event in the southern hemisphere.

APPEA 2013 will bring together the industry's leading minds to share their expert insights into the global oil and gas industry.  This event is presented by the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA).

Ekka is one of Queensland's major events with a long history of bringing the country to the city together.

Thiess staff are looking forward to meeting with many of the 400,000 people who attend Ekka and partnering with the Royal Flying Doctors to give back to the community at this fun filled event. 

Thiess Services is proud to partner with the International Riversymposium and International Water Centre Alumni Network to sponsor the River Management Young Achievers Award.

This important initiative identifies and rewards individuals under 35 who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in rive and waterways management.   To recognise the importance of this Award, the winner will receive $3,000.

Finalists have the opportunity to present their paper as part of the Riversymposium, have their biography displayed in the delegates area and will receive complimentary registration to the 15th International Riversymposium (excludes travel and accomodation costs).

The 16th International Riversymposium provides an opportunity to look at the linkages that rivers provide to water-energy-food. It will also allow dialogue to continue and build the knowledge base and capacity to inform policy decisions that must include trade-offs between river basin protection and sustainable water, energy and food security.
