We conduct feasibility studies at the outset of a mine’s lifecycle which are backed by advanced mine modelling to prove viability. This is coupled with our ability to conduct mine analysis during a project’s operations to determine whether it has greater production potential and how to best unlock further value.
Our team is able to use its widespread knowledge, gained through decades of experience, to develop accurate cost and financial models for mines – from exploration through to shipment. Depending on the stage of the process, we can also manage exploration programs required to assess and analyse deposits. The mine planning team is then able to manage the evaluation and development of conceptual mine plans based on all levels of exploration data.
Once this evaluation is completed, we can help clients determine the most appropriate contract styles - such as schedule of rates, cost reimbursable, partnerships and alliances - for the different stages of the mining chain. Beyond these measures, we take into account the need to balance environmental and community concerns in the initial phases of planning. This allows us to build in initiatives for proactive revegetation and native landscaping to rehabilitate mines at the end of their lifecycle.
